Jonathan's Baptism

Last Sunday, June 29, we had the God-given opportunity to baptize Jonathan. God has always made covenant with families and has always called on parents to apply the sign of the covenant to their children. Abraham, the father of faith, circumcized his children as a sign of their set-apart nature, in hopes that they would profess faith in God and live faithfully in the covenant. Now we, Abraham's children, baptize Jonathan, giving him the new seal of God's covenant, and praying that he will grow up to be a man who loves God and is faithful to His covenant.

My family, Janelle's family, and lots of my friends made the trek to Bryan to share this weekend with us. Here are some pictures from our celebration-picnic on Saturday and the baptism on Sunday.

How wonderful! I wish we could have been there, but it looks like y'all had a great time! Tell Jonathan his Auntie Heather is coming to meet him very soon.
Love y'all!

I love the 'Where is Waldo' thing working there with Cara Beth. (And I like the Mr Squirmy picture, too.)
