I opened my dryer yesterday to find that all of the clothes (and it was a large load) were spotted with blue ink. Yep, I left a very inky pen in some pants, and it exploded in the dryer. EVERYTHING was spotted in blue, and the inside of the dryer had a nice blue-streak sheen to it.
Just when I thought I was building up a decent nice-clothes wardrobe, I ruin half of it. Nice. At least it didn't ruin Jonathan's navy blue pajamas, or my black socks.
Anyone else had some big oops moments at home lately? Sharing them would make me feel a lot better.

Last month I had a meeting at the church prior to Covenant Kids and Hannah didn't want to have to wait with them so we took different vehicles. After all was said and done we all hopped in the car and went home together.
The next morning I woke up, showered, ate breakfast and read my Bible and walked out the door to go teach my classes at Blinn. I walked out to the parking lot on one side of our complex and was surprised not to see my car. I thought maybe I'd park it on the adjacent side, as I sometimes do, so I walked around to find it missing from there as well. Confused, I began to walk back to the apartment when it dawned on me--the car is still at church!
Although the effects were less devastating than yours, at least you might be comforted that it is a bit more boneheaded to lose a quarter-ton red chevy at church than it is to lose a quarter-ounce blue pen in a pocket.
On second thought, I suppose my chevy weighs a bit more than a quarter ton, as a pen probably weighs more than a quarter ounce as well.
while I didnt' ruin everything in each load...I have had 2 pink loads and a blue load...all in the same week!! Creed has a lot of pink pajamas. Good thing he just wears them to bed.
Once I washed and dried a load of laundry and there was bubble gum in my pocket. I don't think the washing was a harmful as the drying. It was more messy than anything else, but still just as frustrating! And the inside of my dryer.... it was bad!
Crayons--also not good for the clothes or the dryer. I've done that twice.
Rubbing alcohol (or vodka if you have it around...) should help get rid of those ink stains. Use a paper towel for the ink to soak through. Repeat as necessary but you should see the stains get lighter. I don't know if it will get it completely out since it's a dried stain but it should get some of it out. Don't forget to clean out your dryer drum or your next load will also be tinted blue... wipe that down with alcohol too.
