Anniversary of the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
Tomorrow, April 4, marks the 41st anniversary of the assassination 
of Martin Luther King Jr. Life magazine has published thirteen never-before-seen photos that were taken later in the day, after the murder.

Two Random Bits of News
Two random bits of news from my life this morning:
1. A possum walked through my front yard today and almost
up to my front door. My first thought was, That's a funny looking cat. My second thought was, Oh, that's because it's a possum. The end.
2. I came across this disturbing advertisement from Saddleback Church. Seriously? So, if people don't want the free gift of salvation from the God of the universe, we offer them a photo-op with Pastor Rick, a magazine subscription, and a Cliffs-Notes version of a membership class?
Well, pastor, I wasn't really interested in this "salvation of my body and soul from the wrath of God" thing before, but since you offer me a one-year magazine subscription for free, I can't turn it down now.
News item #1 brought much more rejoicing in my house this morning than #2, and that's sad.
