My Favorite Albums of 2010 - How Could I Forget Andrew Peterson

In my previous post of my favorite albums of 2010, I somehow managed to neglect one of the best, from one of my favorite artists. Don't ask how, especially considering that I attended an incredible concert of his last night, which I had been planning for months.

Here it is:

Andrew Peterson - "Counting Stars"
Genre: Folk, Americana

Favorite Songs: "You Came So Close," "In the Night My Hope Lives On," "The Reckoning (How Long)"

Comments: Andrew Peterson is a mainstay in my queues these days. He regularly produces albums filled with subtle poetry and complex layerings of the best of American instruments (guitar, banjo, accordion, mandolin, and more). "Counting Stars" is no exception - an album focused on life and legacy - a worthy tribute to the promise given to Abraham: "Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them...So shall your offspring be."

Check out the black keys new album - brother. More I listen to it the more I am convinced it's the best album of 2010.
